Samurai Shodown!
Ah, Neo Geo arcade games… they bring back memories. What I also remember is the cost for the home system and the games. Some of the games were going for $300 each. Crazy times indeed.
Anyway, now that I am reminded of my wasted youth spent in arcades, check out this cool video. It’s “Taichi Saotome, Special New Year Performance of Dragon and Peony, Sword Dance and Shadowgraph 2nd to the 5th of January 2011 at the Galaxy Theater Tokyo.”
I can only imagine how must coreographing was needed for this. Only in Japan. Enjoy and stay out of arcades! Oh wait… arcades died in the early mid 90s… by bad.
Neverwinter Nights Diamond Edition On GOG.com
Oh boy… if I only had kept track of the amount of hours I played this game over the years, I would probably puke (it would still be less time than if I had to take a GO Train every day… thank god). I remember Bioware releasing it in 2002 and it quickly built up a vast community of people creating worlds, mods, etc. It was one of the more exciting RPGs made and kept very close to Dungeons and Dragons rules.
“Experience one of the most popular role-playing adventures of our time, a journey that has thrilled millions. Inhabit dreamlike worlds of myth and mystery. Boundless lands of deadly creatures, foreboding omens and bold heroism.”
Now, GOG.com has this the Neverwinter Nights Diamond Edition available for $9.99. The Diamond Edition includes the original Neverwinter Nights and three official expansion packs: Shadows of Undrentide, Hordes of the Underdark and Kingmaker.
I had to download it.
Tron: Legacy Is Almost Here!
As a child of the 80s, I am very excited about Tron Legacy. It is a sequel to the 1982 film, Tron which I remember watching as a kid at the theater and having my mind blown. I had my trusty Commodore 64 at the time and was very much into arcade games so this movie felt like it was made for just me.
What’s even more exciting this time around is that Daft Punk has done the soundtrack to the movie. I love Daft Punk so December 17th cannot come any faster!
