New Look Roma 2011-2012

Here we go. Sunday is the first game of the 2011/2012 season for AS Roma. I’m not going to mention any new players, coaches or owners in this post. I almost feel like mentioning ANYTHING about Roma is just going to jinx the season. I can’t handle another season like the last one. Just can’t.

Totti and Montella Reunited

Well, I haven’t posted on the blog in a long while. Hope everyone had a good Christmas and New Year… and Valentine’s Day. Yikes, it has been a while. Damn you work! Damn you!

So, before Christmas and just after new year, I was happy… February has been horrible for Roma. Horrible enough that Ranieri is out and Montella is in as interim coach. Guess we’ll see where this leads.

Totti and Montella being reunited can’t be bad right? They did win a scudetto together after all…

Roma vs Lazio Derby

Roma vs Lecce: The Mirko Show

Finally, a great game from Roma! Mirko looks as though he is starting to get back into form. He had five great chances and converted one but was all over the field and showing his speed. He needs to get is crazy, firey self back. I always thought he plays best when he gets the crazy look in his eyes. He’s either going score or stab someone.

The ref absolutely sucked this game but what’s new… Totti gets tripped up behind the play and then gets red carded so now will miss the derby next weekend against Lazio. Fucking ref… but it was good to see some fire in the players, especially Totti who had to be restrained when going off the field. Totti hasn’t been himself this season and hopefully this helps him out.

We are getting some of our injured players back like Sergio, DDR and Menez so things are looking up against Lazio. Boriello played another great game. I am liking this guy more and more. Until next weekend…

Stefano Chuka Okaka and AS Roma

Great, as if Roma wasn’t struggling enough, we now get reports that Okaka, Mirko and Adriano want to leave the team. Of those three, PLEASE don’t let Okaka go. Not only could he be the future Roma striker but I think he will be a key player for Italy’s International side. I like Vucinic a lot because he is kind of crazy. You always need someone on the field that could snap at any second and has skills like Mirko. Adriano? Well, they haven’t really played him this season. Apparently he is injured but the few minutes he has played, he has looked slow…

Roma, fix your morale and these players are going to want to stay. Fuck, I hope they don’t lose Okaka. I can just see him going to Inter or Juve and scoring 15-20 goals a season.
